Project/Mission Statement
Through collage, I attempt to document and reflect upon the evolving nature of digital space and the digitized self. Utilizing digital tools like Photoshop affords me creative freedom, particularly in manipulating and accessing a vast array of images. By manipulating these existing digital logics, I seek to create interpretive spaces that facilitate autoethnographic reflection for myself, and for an audience. Central to my inquiry is the question of how notions of self are shaped by or reflective of the contemporary zeitgeist. Ultimately, my project is a complement to my honors thesis research, which investigates the temporality of relationships between self, society, and the media, particularly as expressed through technologies of social media and film.
