A Guide to Potential Transfer Credit at Connecticut College
Admitted students engage in Connections. Connections is a different kind of liberal arts education, designed to help you become a different kind of leader: one who is intellectually courageous, inventive, resourceful and resilient.
In order to prepare for potential transfer to Connecticut College, you should consider taking the following types of courses at your current institution:
- Connecticut College students take courses in the five Modes of Inquiry. The Modes are Creative Expression; Critical Interpretation and Analysis; Quantitative and Formal Reasoning; Scientific Inquiry and Analysis; and Social and Historical Inquiry. Taking courses at your current institution that have an approximate counterpart to the Modes of Inquiry at Connecticut College will help prepare you for the intellectual breadth which is the foundation of the Connections program.
- We advise you to take a minimum of two semesters of study of the same language at any level.
We also encourage you to explore the variety of majors and minors available to Connecticut College students, and to begin thinking about courses at your current institution that might prepare you foundationally for entry into a department or program.
Transfer applicants are required to submit transcripts for all coursework to the Office of Admission as part of the application process. Additional information about Transfer Admission can be found here.
