Note:

Your Federal Work-Study (FWS) funding is be earned by working in a department on campus should you choose to work. FWS funds are not paid toward your tuition bill. When awarded FWS, 75% of your pay comes from the federal government and 25% comes from the department you work for. Departments that do not have the budget to pay 100% student wages will hire FWS students only.  These funds are paid directly to you. Most students utilize these funds for books, supplies, transportation, and other miscellaneous items. Your decision to work or wait a semester does not have a negative impact on your current or future financial aid or federal work study eligibility.
